Official Rules

1. No purchase necessary

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. MegaMoneySweeps is free to join and free to play, and there is nothing you can buy that gets you extra entries, better numbers or better odds. Entry is free for everyone, which is what makes this a sweepstakes rather than a lottery. If anyone ever asks you to pay to enter, claim a prize or release a prize, it is not us — report it to [email protected].

2. Sponsor

The sponsor and operator of this sweepstakes (the “Sponsor”) is MegaMoneySweeps, 3709 dicksonia dr, Suite 2, Lexington, KY USA 40517. The Sponsor is responsible for all aspects of the sweepstakes, including the drawings and the awarding of prizes.

3. Eligibility

• Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Void where prohibited or restricted by law. If the sweepstakes is prohibited in your jurisdiction, you are not eligible to enter and no prize will be awarded to you.
• Employees, officers, directors and contractors of the Sponsor, and the immediate family members (parent, child, sibling, spouse) and household members of any of them, are not eligible to enter or win.
• One account per person. Entering through multiple accounts, automated scripts, disposable email addresses or any other means of gaining extra entries is a breach of these rules and will disqualify every account involved.

The Sponsor verifies eligibility before paying any prize and may require reasonable proof of identity, age and address. Entering is an agreement to these Official Rules and to the Privacy Policy.

4. Entry periods

The sweepstakes runs in daily entry periods. Each game accepts entries for that day’s draw until midnight Eastern Time, when entries close. The drawing for that day runs immediately after entries close. Entries submitted after entries close are applied to the next day’s draw.

The Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper for the sweepstakes. The games available, and the dates on which each game is open, are shown on the site; the Sponsor may add, suspend, modify or retire games at any time.

5. How to enter

• Create a free account with your email address and complete your member profile (name, postal address and date of birth, which are needed to verify eligibility and to award prizes).
• Open a game, choose your numbers, and submit your entry. You can pick your own numbers or use Quick Pick to have them chosen at random for you. Quick Pick numbers have exactly the same chance of winning as numbers you pick yourself.
• Limit: one free entry per member, per game, per day. With 9 games in the lineup, a member may hold up to 9 entries for any one day.
• Entries are personal to you, have no cash value, and may not be sold, transferred or assigned.

Entries that are incomplete, duplicated, tampered with, or submitted by anyone who does not meet the eligibility requirements are void. The Sponsor is not responsible for entries that are lost, late or not received because of network, hardware or software failures outside its control.

6. Prizes and odds of winning

Each game draws a set of winning numbers from a fixed pool. You win a prize by matching some or all of them — you do not need to match them all. The prize tiers and the odds for every game currently in the lineup are set out below.

• Odds of winning depend on how many numbers you match, not on the number of entries received. The odds shown for each tier are the mathematical chance that exactly that many of your numbers are drawn. They do not change with the number of people playing.
• There is no cap on the number of winners. Every entry that matches a prize tier wins that prize, so the total value awarded in a day depends on how many members match.
• Prizes are awarded in US dollars and have no alternative. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
• Matching numbers does not guarantee payment: an entry must comply with these Official Rules, and the member must be eligible and verified, before a prize is paid.
• A member’s first play of two games is set up in their favour, and each game says so in its own description. The first Spin to Win is played on a wheel with the losing slice removed. The first Daily Dollar pays its prize whether or not the numbers drawn match the numbers picked. In both cases the outcome is still drawn from a committed seed and published for checking in the ordinary way, and neither affects any later play of either game.

7. How winning numbers are drawn

Winning numbers are drawn by a computer process that is fixed before entries open and that anyone can check afterwards. When a draw opens, the Sponsor generates a secret random value (the “seed”) and derives that day’s winning numbers from it. Only the SHA-256 hash of the seed (the “commitment”) is published at that point. After entries close, the seed itself is published alongside the winning numbers.

Anyone can then hash the revealed seed and confirm it matches the commitment published before entries opened, and re-derive the winning numbers from that seed. This demonstrates that the numbers were fixed before any entry was accepted and were not altered afterwards. The seed, the commitment and a verification status are shown for every completed draw on the results page, and How it works explains the check in plain language.

Entries are evaluated automatically against the winning numbers after each draw. The number of matches recorded for an entry, and the prize that follows from it, are final.

8. Winner notification and claiming a prize

• Winning entries appear in your account shortly after each draw, and the Sponsor notifies winners at the email address on the account. Keep your email address and postal address current — the Sponsor is not responsible for a prize that cannot be delivered because your details are out of date.
• Before a prize is paid, the Sponsor verifies that the winner is eligible and that the entry complied with these rules. The Sponsor may require a signed affidavit of eligibility, a liability and publicity release, and a completed IRS Form W-9, and may require proof of identity and age.
• A winner must respond to the notification and provide any required documents within [CLAIM PERIOD] of the notification being sent. A prize that is not claimed within that period, or that is declined, or where the winner cannot be verified, is forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner or not awarded at all, at the Sponsor’s discretion.
• Verified prizes are paid by [PAYMENT METHOD]. The Sponsor pays no interest on any prize.

9. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on any prize, and for any other cost of accepting or using a prize. Sweepstakes prizes are generally treated as taxable income.

Prizes of $600 or more paid to one person in a calendar year are reportable to the IRS on Form 1099-MISC, and the Sponsor would issue that form and may require a Form W-9 before paying. Every prize currently offered on MegaMoneySweeps is below $600 — the largest single prize in the lineup above is $500 — so no single prize reaches that reporting threshold. Multiple prizes won by the same person during a calendar year are added together for this purpose, and the threshold applies to that total. Consult your own tax adviser about your situation.

10. Publicity and the winners list

Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize you agree that the Sponsor may publish and display your first name, last initial and state of residence — for example “Jordan R., TX” — together with the prize amount, on the site and in marketing for the sweepstakes, without further notice, payment or permission. The Sponsor does not publish your full name, street address, email address or any other contact detail.

Recent winners are listed on the winners page. For a written list of winners for any completed entry period, send a request naming the game and the date to [email protected], or by mail to Winners List, MegaMoneySweeps, 3709 dicksonia dr, Suite 2, Lexington, KY USA 40517. Requests must be received within six months of the entry period in question.

11. General conditions

• The Sponsor’s decisions on all matters relating to this sweepstakes are final and binding — including eligibility, the validity of entries, the interpretation of these rules, and the awarding of prizes.
• The Sponsor may disqualify any person it reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process or the operation of the site, has entered through more than one account, has provided false information, or has acted in breach of these rules or in a way that is abusive to other members or to staff.
• If the sweepstakes cannot run as planned — because of a technical failure, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other cause outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control that corrupts the administration, security or fairness of the sweepstakes — the Sponsor may suspend, modify or terminate the affected entry period and award prizes from among the eligible entries received before the problem arose.
• The Sponsor may amend these Official Rules at any time. The version posted on this page applies to every entry period that opens after it is posted.
• If any part of these rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

12. Release and limitation of liability

By entering, you release the Sponsor, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, contractors and agents (together, the “Released Parties”) from any claim, liability, injury, loss or damage arising out of your participation in the sweepstakes or your acceptance, use or misuse of any prize.

The Released Parties are not responsible for: incorrect or inaccurate entry information; technical failures of any kind, including interruptions in service, or failures of any network, computer, phone or software; unauthorised intervention in any part of the entry process; or errors in the administration of the sweepstakes or the processing of entries.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Released Parties are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of the sweepstakes, and their total liability to you will not exceed the value of the prize you were eligible to win. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these rules limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

This sweepstakes is not a game of skill or chance offered for consideration. Entry is free, and no payment is accepted or required at any point.

13. Disputes and governing law

These Official Rules, and any dispute arising out of or relating to this sweepstakes, are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and the Sponsor agree that any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [STATE], and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

All claims must be resolved individually, without any form of class action. You may recover only actual out-of-pocket expenses; attorneys’ fees and punitive damages are excluded to the extent the law allows.

14. Privacy

Information you provide when entering is used to run the sweepstakes, to verify eligibility, to award prizes, and as described in the Privacy Policy. That policy explains what is collected, how it is used, that the site is supported by advertising, and the rights you have over your data — including how to unsubscribe from marketing email and how to request deletion.
