Privacy Policy

This policy covers MegaMoneySweeps at https://megamoneysweeps.com and the email we send, operated by MegaMoneySweeps, 3709 dicksonia dr, Suite 2, Lexington, KY USA 40517 (“we”). The site is free to play and paid for by advertising and by the information described here. By using it you agree to this policy.

1. What we collect

• Identifiers and account details: name, email address, postal address, phone number, date of birth, password (stored only as a one-way hash), and account and referral codes.
• Activity: your entries, picks, plays, wins, tokens, offers you open and complete, emails opened, sign-ins and everything else you do on the site.
• Survey answers, if you take the optional survey: gender, household income, education, employment, marital status, children at home, whether you own or rent, your interests, what you are planning to buy or do in the next six months, the kinds of giveaway prizes you would like to see more of and, if you choose to answer it, where you stand politically. They never change your entries, odds or prizes. A false answer breaks the Official Rules. We do not ask about race or ethnicity.
• Device and fraud signals: IP address, browser and device details, a keyed one-way fingerprint of the IP address and browser you signed up from, and whether an ad blocker or automation was detected on your pages.
• Payment and tax details when you claim a prize, such as a PayPal address, and anything tax law requires.
• Browsing data collected by partners: our advertising, analytics and offer partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools to see which pages you view here and to show and measure ads, including on other sites. We may also receive information about you from them and from data providers.
• Inferences we draw from all of the above, such as your age bracket and interests.
• If you type your email on the home page and stop before finishing signing up, we keep that address and may use it to invite you back.

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, one to remember your privacy choice, and, if an advertisement brought you here, one to remember the identifier the advertiser gave that visit until you sign up, when it is saved to your account. Blocking the first stops you signing in.

2. How we use it, and who we give it to

We use personal information to run the site and the games, verify eligibility and identity, pay prizes, prevent fraud and enforce the Official Rules, send email, advertise to you and others, build audiences for advertisers, develop our business, comply with law, and for any other purpose we describe when we collect it or that the law allows. Your survey answers, age bracket and state choose which offers you see; they never decide your eligibility, odds, prizes or payment.

We reserve the right to sell, rent, license, share and otherwise disclose any of the personal information described in section 1, and inferences drawn from it, to advertisers, marketing and data partners, data brokers and other third parties, in any manner permitted by applicable law.

We also disclose it to:

• companies that run the site for us, such as hosting, email delivery and prize payment;
• offer partners, which receive an identifier for your account and whatever else is needed to credit an offer or that you give them yourself;
• the advertising partner that sent you to us, if one did, which is told using its own identifier for your visit when you confirm your email address and when you reach milestones such as entering a draw, playing a scratch card or earning tokens, so it can measure its advertising. We do not tell it if you have opted out;
• advertising and measurement partners whose tags run on our pages, which may be given your email address and phone number, or a hashed version of them, while you are signed in, so they can recognise you and measure and target advertising. They are not given either if you have opted out;
• the public, if you win, as the Official Rules describe;
• anyone we believe we must tell to comply with law or legal process, to protect our rights or anyone’s safety, or to investigate fraud; and
• a buyer or successor if all or part of the business is sold or reorganized.

In the 12 months before the effective date above, the personal information we sold or shared, as California law uses those words, was cookie and device identifiers, IP address and pages viewed, through our advertising partners’ tools. We may use and disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified for any purpose.

3. Your privacy choices

Where the law of your state gives you the right, you can opt out of the sale of your personal information and its sharing for targeted advertising on Your Privacy Choices. The same button stops us using a political answer, which California treats as sensitive, to choose your offers. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as that opt-out automatically, and save it on your account if you are signed in. We do not respond to the older “Do Not Track” setting, which has no agreed meaning.

4. The survey is a paid offer

The survey pays one extra play on each game. That is a financial incentive for personal information under California law, so here are its terms. Taking it is up to you, and you agree to them by submitting it. It collects the survey answers described in section 1. We value your answers at what we give for them: the expected prize value of those extra plays, which is about 13 cents. Your answers may be used and disclosed as section 2 describes. You can withdraw at any time by emailing us to delete your answers, and you keep the plays.

A question added to the survey after you took it is asked separately, as a follow-up, and pays tokens once: 25 tokens for "Which giveaway prizes would you like to see more of?", which we value at less than a cent. A follow-up is the same kind of offer on the same terms as the survey, and you can withdraw from it in the same way and keep the tokens.

5. Email

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link and our postal address. Unsubscribing takes effect within 10 business days, costs nothing and needs no reason, and, as federal law requires, we will not sell or transfer your email address after you do. You will still get account email such as prize notices and password resets while you have an account. Our email carries a small image and links that go by way of our site, which tell us whether a message was opened and which link was followed; we use that to measure and improve our email. Turning images off in your mail app stops the first.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what we hold about you and get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of sale and sharing, and to limit the use of sensitive information. Most of this you can do yourself: correct your details in your account, delete it at Delete your account, and opt out at Your Privacy Choices. For anything else, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will verify it is you first, we answer within the time the law of your state sets, and someone you authorize in writing can ask for you where the law allows. We may refuse a request the law allows us to refuse. If we turn a request down, reply within 60 days to appeal and we will answer the appeal within the time the law sets; if you are still not satisfied you may contact your state attorney general. Using these rights does not change your entries, odds or prizes.

Deleting your account forfeits any prize you have not claimed and any tokens. If we have ever paid you a prize we keep your name and address with that payment, because tax law requires it.

7. How long we keep it

For as long as we have a business, legal, tax, fraud-prevention or record-keeping reason to, which for account details is at least as long as the account is open, and for prize and tax records as long as tax law requires. Entries and draw records are kept for as long as the draws are published, since they are what makes a result checkable. After you delete your account, what we keep is no longer linked to your email, or to your name unless we paid you a prize.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect personal information. No system is secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will not be accessed, disclosed or lost. You use the site at your own risk. The site is operated in the United States and your information is stored and processed there.

9. Children

You must be 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi) to use MegaMoneySweeps. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we find we have, we delete it. Tell us at [email protected] if you think we have.

10. Changes

We may change this policy at any time by posting a new version here with a new effective date. It takes effect when posted, and continuing to use the site after that means you accept it. Where the law requires your consent to a change in how we use information we already hold, we will ask for it.
