An entire Swedish village

A Dutch supermarket gave away a place with a population.

In 2012 the Dutch grocery chain Jumbo ran a promotion whose top prize was the village of Skinnskatteberg — or at least the branding of it. The prize was the right to be its honorary mayor, not the deeds, which is a distinction the headlines mostly skipped.
